Consultation

Your first visit will last approximately 90 minutes and includes completing patient intake forms and answering questions to provide a comprehensive health history. This, along with tongue and pulse readings, helps the practitioner assess your body systems and develop a personalized treatment plan using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The acupuncture needles used are fine, flexible, and pre-sterilized for single use. Most patients feel little to no sensation upon insertion, though you may experience a tingling or heavy feeling, known as “de qi,” which is crucial for effective treatment. Please avoid brushing your tongue before your appointment and eat a light meal 1-2 hours prior.

  • Initial Consultation: $30 / $60 / $100 / $120
  • Follow-up Consultation: $25 / $40 / $50 / $80

Acupuncture Therapy

Acupuncture involves stimulating specific acupoints on the body using thin needles or the application of heat and pressure. In a typical modern acupuncture session, the process begins with an initial consultation, followed by pulse diagnosis on both arms and an examination of the tongue.

  • New Client (Includes Consultation): $110
  • Existing Client: $80

Traditionally, acupuncture is highly individualized, drawing on both philosophical principles and clinical intuition rather than controlled scientific research. The number and frequency of sessions depend on the individual and their condition, as one session is usually not enough to achieve lasting results. In our clinic, acupuncture sessions typically last up to 90 minutes.

Ear Seeds | $20

Ear seeds are a form of ear acupuncture that involves applying small, adhesive seeds or tiny beads to specific points on the outer ear. These points correspond to various areas of the body and are used to stimulate the flow of energy, or “Qi,” for therapeutic benefits. The ear seeds are typically left in place for several days to continue providing gentle pressure and support between sessions. They are a convenient, non-invasive tool often used for pain management, stress relief, and balancing the body’s energy. While ear seeds are a simple and effective treatment, they are typically used in conjunction with other acupuncture techniques to enhance overall results.

Moxibustion | $80

We use moxa, made from mugwort, to warm specific regions and acupoints with the goal of stimulating circulation and encouraging a smoother flow of blood and Qi. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, mugwort is considered an effective treatment for “cold” or “yang deficiencies.” It can also act as an emmenagogue, helping to promote blood flow to the pelvic area and uterus. Moxibustion is particularly beneficial for addressing cold and dampness in the body and is sometimes used to help turn breech babies by encouraging proper positioning in the womb.

Cupping | $40

Cupping is an ancient form of Chinese medicine that creates local suction on the skin to promote blood flow and encourage healing. The suction is generated either by heat (using fire) or with mechanical devices, such as hand or electrical pumps. This therapy helps to stimulate circulation, release tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Pediatric Tui Na | $80

Traditional Chinese Medicine supports the use of therapeutic massage, known as Tui Na, for infants and young children. This gentle form of therapy is especially effective for children under the age of 10, as they respond well to its healing benefits. Pediatric Tui Na not only promotes healthy growth and development but also helps treat common childhood conditions, such as nausea, poor appetite, fever, nightmares, colds, coughs, and bed-wetting.

A typical Tui Na session lasts up to 30 minutes and can be performed as often as needed, depending on the child’s condition. The techniques are simple to learn, making it easy for parents to practice at home between professional sessions.

A single massage session will last as long as 30 minutes, and should be performed as often as necessary given the nature of the child’s condition. The techniques are easy to learn and can therefore be reinforced at home between sessions with a professional.

We also use acupuncture and Chinese herbs to support healing in the following areas:

  • Stress and pain management
  • Respiratory health
  • Gastrointestinal issues
  • Reproductive health
  • Maternity support
  • Alternative options for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
