Meet Dr. Ming Zou: A Unique Blend of Western and Eastern Medicine
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Ming Zou has dedicated her life to helping others through a combination of Western and Eastern healing practices. Born and trained in China, she graduated from Guilin Medical College in 1981, where she studied both Western and Chinese Medicine. After practicing as a medical doctor in China, she moved to the U.S. and became a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for over 14 years.
Dr. Zou’s holistic approach to healing integrates her training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, alongside her extensive nursing experience. She holds a Master’s in Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Her mission is to provide compassionate care through a unique perspective that combines the best of both medical worlds. When not working, Dr. Zou enjoys gardening, reading, and writing blogs in Chinese.

Meet Dr. Yaoping Violet Song: A Leader in Integrative Medicine
Dr. Yaoping Violet Song holds a PhD in TCM Herbal Formulation and an M.Sc. in TCM Pharmacology and Toxicology from Chengdu University of TCM in China. With expertise in Oncology, Gynecology, and General Internal Medicine, she brings extensive clinical and research experience to her work in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Dr. Song is also a passionate educator, teaching at institutions such as the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, University of Texas Pharmacy School, and Texas Tech Pharmacy School. She has served as the Senior Director of the Doctoral Program in Herbal Studies at AOMA, where she also leads Clinical Excellence-Education and Research.
A licensed acupuncturist and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Dr. Song is also an examiner for Clean Needle Technique with the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).
With her deep knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine, Dr. Song is dedicated to advancing Integrative Medicine through clinical practice, education, and research.
